Our students at the San Antonio Grooming Academy are on their way to receive the certification and title of PROFESSIONAL DOG GROOMERS… but they need customers to practice on before they can graduate! How does it work?
All of our students are trained one on one, with an instructor guiding and evaluating their performance, and can do both haircuts and just baths.
The appointments are made on a one on one basis with a particular student, so the availability of appointments depends entirely on our students’ schedules and the stage at which they’re at in their grooming career.
Pricing
All of our student grooming prices include: The bath, facial, anal gland expression, blow drying by hand, cleaning of the ears, cutting of the nails, conditioner, perfume, and brush out OR haircut, depending on the needs of your dog!
Extra services NOT included in your price & will be charged extra: Nail grinding/filing, de-shedding treatments, flea treatments, special shampoos, de-matting services, accessories and hard to handle fees.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION Before You Make An Appointment
In order for your dog to be able to be groomed by a student, your dog must be able to be HANDLED easily. Students, because of their lack of experience and limited skill, cannot handle aggressive dogs, extremely anxious or nervous dogs, or dogs that are not used to being groomed. The coat’s condition must also be fairly easy to groom. Extremely matted, tangled, aggressive, nervous or anxious dogs that can’t be fully groomed by the student will be given the option to be either upgraded to a professional service with one of our certified professional groomers on staff or will have to be picked up with no refund.
